Ensuring the Best Air Quality in Your Corpus Christi Home: A Room-by-Room Guide

May 9, 2013 | Blog

To ensure the best air quality in your Corpus Christi home, take it room by room. Start with any space listed below, and perform an inspection to find out what’s required to improve air quality.

  • Kitchen: The kitchen features many components that can negatively influence air quality. Pesticides used to get rid of mice and other pests are one culprit often stored in cabinets, while many household cleaners contain volatile organic compounds. Appliances may leak natural gas, including hazardous carbon monoxide from a gas stove. Opt for natural pest control and cleaners, and ensure the stove is vented outside if applicable.
  • Bathroom: The semi-permanent dampness featured in bathrooms creates conditions in which mold and mildew flourish. Humidity from showers/baths and leaking faucets/toilets can all result in mold growth. Preventing these conditions involves using a ventilating fan. Clean regularly to absorb excess dampness and kill mold and mildew. Use natural mold cleaners, such as white vinegar.
  • Bedroom: Common indoor air quality problems in the bedroom stem from the presence of dust and dust mites. Vacuum and dust frequently for best air quality, and employ the use of special casings around pillows and mattresses.  Make sure your vacuum cleaner is a quality unit with a good bag so that it does not just recirculate the dust in the home.
  • Living Room: Pet dander, carbon monoxide from faulty fireplaces and chimneys, and secondhand smoke can pollute your living room. Clean frequently, inspect the chimney and designate your home as a non-smoking area.

Great Company

Great company. Contacted my current AC company to check on my warranty before charging me anything. Saved me a bunch of money and headache if dealing with anything. Would definitely recommend them and use them again.
